Voluntary and Childcare Organisations Training Calendar

This training is offered through partnership working by Community Learning and Development, the Communities Team and the Early Years and Child Care Partnership.

Multi Cultural Play Session, 17th March 2007.  This session was provided as part of the Voluntary Organisations programme to raise awareness of the importance of providing a multicultural play setting and looking at ideas for activities that can be used.

Child Protection:   The Care Commission recommends child protection training for all staff and volunteers working with children.  The courses offered provides participants with an overview of child protection guidelines and the procedures for reporting child protection issues.  A certificate of attendance is issued.  These courses run on Saturday 19th May in West Calder Community Education Centre, Wednesday 23rd May in Uphall Community Education Centre and Saturday 23rd June in Almondbank Resource Centre.  The tutor for all of these courses is Frances Anderson, Community Learning and Development.  Places can be booked by completing a registration form from the Voluntary ahd Childcare Organisations Training Calendar.  These are available by telephoning Fiona Stewart on 01506-777505.
